Global Functions & Variables
If something is global it can be used in any script in the entire place, for example:
_G["blah"] = "blah"
Then in another script:
print(blah)
See what I mean? So for functions do:
_G["lol"] = function() print("lol") end
Then in another script:
lol()

It's not an orginal script. It's first name was "AmoScript", created by xLegox.
With some debugging, I made it work! You don't even have to know much scripting to make it work!

New Updates!
There is a lot of new updates in Roblox since I have been accidentally IP Banned (Now that I'm back though).
This is going to be a long post, but keep reading, you won't be sorry!

First of all lets start with the first update, it's on the Roblox Main Page.
On the main page you can now, See part of the news there. So if your in a big rush and don't have time to click on the news and wait for it to load, you can go to the Roblox Main Page and you can see if they're any new news post on Roblox!
Lets Move On.

Your Profile,
On your profile on top of your place it says the words "Showcase".
Thats not that great but hey, it's an update!
Now, let us move on to the awesome stuff!
Alson new on your profile,
If you go down to where it used to show your "Hats" and "Shirts"
You can see there is now a place to look at your "Models" and "Places".
The next release for your profile,
On the news a caught a glance at things that haven't appeared under our stuff where the
"Hats
Places
Shirts
Models"
are.
If your go on the real News (Roblog) you can see the picture has all of these things under My Stuff,
Here is the full lists,

In the Catalog you can now click on a new link under the Browse section,

The Public Domain thing is new! As of now, nothing is in that section but just wait.
Also in the Catalog,
Under Category,
"Hats

Places
Shirts"
The "Models" and "Places" are both new. Under Models you can add coments to your favorite Models that was released! Under Places you can see your favorite places and add comments under them!
Moving on.

The "Browse" section on your Roblox "Toolbar",
If you have noticed the "Browse" section was removed from the the "Toolbar" on the top of Roblox!
The reason being is because we don't need it now that we can see places and models in the Catalog.
Moving on,

Email Adress Verification,
If you verify your email you will receive a free hat called the "Verified Sign".
To verify your email go to your profile, then click Edit Profile, then go to your email and type in the email you want, then click Verify Email. Then go into that email adress and click the link in the message to verify it!
Then you will receive the "Verified Sign"!

Now, Lets move on to the Final Two updates, the coolest.

Click on Command (ClickDetector),
You can now put a script into something, like a lamp, to be able to just click on it to do a certain thing. For the lamp, you can make it where you click on it to make it turn on and off. When the lamp is on you will also see the final Update happening before your eyes!

Sparkle Update,
To me this is the coolest update.
You can make something "Sparkle"
Like a lamp, if you use the "ClickDetector" and click on the lamp to make it ON it will sparkle!

I have a sad, sad TRUE, video game addiction story:

A ordinary teenage kid was so addicted to video games, he stood up all night and even skipped school just to play.
When his parents finally decided to take the games away, he got so angry that he destroyed their coffee table, smashed a expensive vase, and literally ripped the security system out of the wall before his parents gave him back his games.

It's sad.
So make sure not to spend all your time on a video game, or you might end up as that guy.

Even More Place Advice

I figured out how to run scripts locally without having to save, leave, and come back!

Just click Tools - Test - Solo.
You will come to your place named, "Player". There you can test what you built and/or scripted!
It's alot faster than saving and coming back. It's helping me alot!

This has happened to me, and it can happen to anyone, including you. Sometimes your place's data can become corrupt, so you can't visit or edit your place. You have to reset ALL your hard work for it! My advice is keep a recently updated save file of your place on your computer and USB key (if you have one). So if this happens, you don't have to start over.

If you are interested in posting in the forums, as a top poster, I have some tips for you. A major thing that will give you a bad reputation is spamming. If you don't know what spam is, it is when you constantly post random gibberish. Another major thing that is not good is using inappropriate language, but this isn't allowed any where, so it shouldn't be a problem. When posting in the forums, it is also good advice not to talk like this "Hi ne1 gut a fedora". It is hard for some people to understand you, and many people look for proper grammar.

Learning To Script

Head to the wiki. It's a great place. The Wiki. Here you can learn about many things. 80% of the time, if you go on the Roblox Forums Scripting Help and ask simple questions that show that you're new at scripting you will be flamed like, "OMG N00B!!! I'M SO 1337 AND YOU'RE NOT!!!" My advice is to go on the wiki and try to learn from the scripts there. Waffleboy has an amazing guide to scripting. Waffleboy's nice Tutorial. Try it. Also, go into all models and just examine scripts asking occasional questions on the forums about what certain things mean. Also, you could ask some scripters like me! :) Good luck.

Hopefully you will become a better scripter by using the wiki.

Dealing with Noobs Advice
Hello, this is Kiddietron,
If you see random noobs doing irritating stuff. Follow these steps.
1. Tell him/her to stop or try to help them. If you receive negative replies, go to Step 3
2. If he/she responds with a question further help him/her. If he/she understands and reacts positively go to Step 4
3. Warn him/her and tell him/her that you're just helping out. More negative? go to Step 5
4. Tell him/her that you're around to help and a smiley. :) If they thank you say Your welcome and you're done!
5. Report the person for mean behavior and start ignoring them. Continue to report them if further malicious actions occur.

Hopefully this will help you deal with noobs.

Okay guys, this is the advice for today, DO NOT PUT RANDOM LETTERS IN CHAT BECAUSE YOU WILL GET REPORTED AND COULD GET BANNED OR GET A WARNING!

Roblox Crash Advice
Okay, Let's Say you've been working on your place for 4 hours right, Then all the sudden, You get a Roblox Crash, and all your work goes down the drain!
Well, don't beat yourself up about this, all your doing is hurting yuorself, some people even break their computer because they're so mad, THIS IS NOT THE ANSWER SO DON'T DO IT!

Okay, here's another example if all of that you just read didn't go through your head. Lets say you were at an Obsticle Course and your were 1 checkpoint away from Finish and you know if you exited you could never get to that checkpoint again because it was soooo hard, then all the sudden, *BAM* you get the message "An Error Has Occured" or "You have been Disconnected", well these are not the words to clue you in to beat yourself or the computer up!

Script Builder Advice

Okay, we should all be familiar with "Script Builder" by Anaminus.
Well, Don't get pissed off if someone accidentally deletes the server or even if they do it purposly.
The worst thing you cand o is get pissed of at someone at then you accidentally say a bad word or you call them a noob, it's just hurting yourself!
If you start saying bad words everyone will report you and you will get banned.
If you call them a noob, they probally call you a noob back and then won't stop deleting the server, which ruins everything about Script Builder for everyone else.
So, my advice, KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOURSELF!

Any Arena
Foamythesqurriel here,
my tips on every arena, no matter where it is, it's that never stop moving.
Why I say that, is that a moving target is harder to hit than a stationary target.
In gun-based arenas, moving makes it harder for oppenents to line up a good shot.
In sword-based arenas, moving makes it harder for oppenents to slice you.
In other-based arenas, just use the arena's type of fight, and use the never-stop-moving tactic to excel to victory!

Farm Tycoon
Hey its harhan,
Tip: First climb the giant tree. Then go see the mayor and he will ask you to get 15 wood. (should be fast if you climbed the giant tree.)All you have to do is cut 5 trees and return he will then give you the mega potato. Return to your farm and switch to mega potato and then plant the crops. Its as cheap as the cabbage But gives alot more money.

Boat Wars
Hey this is MarvelManiac,
Tip: Get in the little boat, not the big one cause it's an easy target, and sail to one of the islands. Next all you do is shoot all the enemy's you see!

Hint: Turn to the side to shoot rockets out of the little boat, if you face the front and shoot it just blows up your seats.

Tips/Hints For Every Obsticle Course
Hey this is MarvelManiac,
Tip: When at an invisible path the easiest way to get past is by using your point and click, not just walking on it.

Hint: When at lava it is usually easier to double jump to pass it.

Tip 2: If you are about to go on a row of trampolines adjust your screen to where your up side down. It makes it alot easier, trust me!

Hint 2: If you are ever at a platform with big holes in it get a running start and jump right when you get to the edge, don't double jump.

Miked's Paintball CTF
Tip: Use the side bunkers for advantages so you can snipe people without them knowing where you are! Also always make sure you have at least 2 snipers on your team and you will be almost Un-Stopable!

Hint: On the little platform at the side of each castle, jump up onto the top of it. Then, jump up onto the Brown dirt that is high up in the Paintball Field. This will be an easy way to Snipe people and get to your opponent's castle without being seen!

Tip 2: Use The River behind your castle as an advantage to get to the opponent's castle quickly and then you can easily capture the flag!

Hint 2: Go To The Back Of The Castle (Where The River Is) And Wait until you see a Rocket-Launcher passing by, pick it up and get easy kills!

Hey, this is Arrowbic,
If you want to build an obstical course, I have two simple tips. The first tip, DON'T delete the baseplate until the very end, and two, before deleting the baseplate, group the whole obstical course into one and anchor it, so you won't forget any brick.

Copying and Deleting Without Tools
Hey this is Arrowbic,
This one is another tip. Instead of wasting time getting copy and delete tools every single time your building, you can use your keyboard. Select a whole model by draging your cursor over it, as if you were highlighting it, or just select one brick, and press Ctrl+C then Ctrl+V to copy it, or press the delete key on your keyboard to delete it. Just incase you want to save time.

Lag Reduction
Hey this is Arrowbic,
This time I'm not going to post how to make something. Instead, I'm posting a building tip. A simple way to reduce lag is to resize your bricks. How do you resize? On the top of your screen, there is a ROBLOX toolbar with a resizing button. Click on it to have it in effect, and then click on a brick. From there you can make your brick bigger, so instead of using 20 bricks for a wall, you can use 1 and reduce lag.

Ghost Bricks
Hey this is Arrowbic,
A ghost brick is a brick that appears solid, but you fall through it if you step on it. Follow the steps below to make one.

1)Open up your place in ROBLOX Studio.
2)Get a brick and click on it. On the right side of the screen will be the brick's properties.
3)Scroll down the brick's properties untill you see something called "CanCollide", with a checked box next to it.
4)Uncheck the box by clicking on it. If you step on the brick now, you will fall through it.

Slider Bricks
Hey this is Arrowbic,
What I mean by a slider brick is a brick that you slide on when you step on it. This can be quite a fun and usefull brick for your place. To build one, follow the step-by-step instructions below.

1)Open up your place in ROBLOX Studio.
2)Get a brick and click on it. On the right side of the screen will be the brick's properties.
3)Scroll down the brick's properties untill you see something called "Friction"
4)Lower the friction untill the brick is at your desired sliding speed.

Hey this is Arrowbic,
Need an invisible brick for your place? Don't know how to make one? Follow these step-by-step instructions and you'll have one!

1)Open up your place in ROBLOX Studio.

3)Scroll down the brick's properties untill you see something called "Transperancy"
4)Change the transperancy to 1 for a completly invisible brick, or change it to

Lag Solution!
I solved the problem I have been having with the Interviews.
The problem with the interviews was, I could never upload any new Interviews because it took so long to load (I'm Talking 1 Hour per Interview).
But i Fixed it.
I relaized i could just make a new page under Interviews and call it Interviews, Page 2.

Another Trouble In Robloxia!

Hey, this is Twila27 here and once more I have another strange happening among the places! This time it's the Builderman Suite Hotel, designed by Weaselman50 for the Builderman's New Place Contest and built by Totti, mjt510, chess123mate, ganondude, Kaelin, weaselman50, and Cybersword. However, while trying to learn the ropes, very strange things appeared. A giant disco baseplate cut through the hotel's legs; Rockets and a Machine Gun tool appeared. The elevators were destroyed, the people went crazy, and the whole place was filled with one word: hackers. But is it true? A hacker in Roblox, a game that the administrators say this kind of thing shouldn't happen? I'll do my best to keep you guys updated on Troubles In Robloxia! Today we had our first "Official" Egg Hunt!
Yes there was a Test Day for the Egg Hunt which was Yesterday, but today was the first "Official" Egg Hunt!
Over 7,000 Players was part of this event today! Here is a poll showing how many people got each egg.

Description: A Light Blue Egg that just sits there waiting for you to catch it.
How to Catch: Just Touch It.

Name: Bouncing Egg of Boing Boing
Description: A Mixture of Light and Dark Purple with a Hint of Black. It sits for a couple of seconds and then bounces away mocking you, saying "YOU CAN'T CATCH ME HAHAHAHA".
How to Catch: You have to be very fast and have the right movements. If your to late, It bounces Away. Once you finally get close to it, just touch it.

Name: Blinking Egg of Relocation
Description: A Mixture of the two colors Yellow and White. This Egg will taunt you when you get close to it by teleporting away.
How to Catch: Finally get close to it after it teleports, then touch it.

Name: Puzzling Egg of Enigma
Description: A mixture of the colors Black and White. Win at Chess to receive this Egg!
How to Catch: Touch the Egg and it will turn Red and a Chessboard will fall down. Depending on what Chessboard falls down you have to either say "rg8", "ne7", or "qf5". Try them all because you never know which chessboard you will get. But, whatever chessboard you get the first time, is the chessboard you will always get.

Name: Invisible Egg of Shadow
Description: A Mixture of the colors Black and Gray, this Egg is Transparent! Try to catch it., if you can see it!
How to Catch: This egg will change from visible to invisible! Touch it when it's visible and you will receive it!

Name: Kind Egg of Sharing
Description: A mixture of the colors Red and White. Many people need to touch it!
How to Catch: Get 3 People to touch the egg! The color will change on it. It will start out Dark and get lighter when at least 3 people touch it! Once 3 People touch the egg, you can then touch it to receive it!

Name: Bombastic Egg of Annihilation
Description: A mixture of Red, Yellow, and Orange. This egg will blow you up, LITERALLY!
How to Catch: Dodge the Rockets this egg fires at you, then touch it to receive it! Most of the time this egg is in the air, so you may need Super Jump or Teleport to touch it!

Name: Golden Egg of Kings
Description: Plain GOLD! This egg is for kings, and kings alone.
How to Catch: Must be wearing the hat "Golden Crown" then you can touch it and receive it. If your not wearing that hat, it will insult you!

Name: Legendary Egg of Gygax
Description: A mixture of Black, White, Green , and occasionally Red. It calls out "Roll Me".
How to Catch: This Egg will start out to be the colors Black, White, and Red. Player must use a tool (Slingshot or Superball most likely) to roll the dice! Once the dice lands on 20/14 it will change to the colors Black, White, and Green. Player then can touch egg to receive it!

Name: Wanwood Egg of ZOMG!
Description: This Egg was meant to look like Tree Bark! It's a mixture of the colors Brown and Green! This Egg has size changing problems!
How to Catch: This egg will start out HUGE, then it will get smaller and smaller. You must touch the egg once it goes to regular egg size! If you touch it to soon you will explode!

Name: Cracked Egg of Pwnage
Description: A White Egg with a tiny bit of Brown that is Cracked! Requires killing to receive.
How to Catch: Player must kill a person wearing the hat "Bunny Ears of Caprice" (Which is usually Telamon).

Name: Tiny Egg of Nonexistance
Description: A mixture of Light and Dark Blue.
How to Catch: Unknown

Name: Bluesteel Egg of BC
Description: Made of the metal called "Bluesteel". The colors of this are Light/Dark Blue and Gray.
How to Catch: Unknown

Description: To me this Egg looks like the world! But the actual colors are White and Brown.

It's a virtual Egg Hunt!
Yesterday the Roblox Team tested out this "Special" Event, so many people got the eggs!
The Times of Egg Hunts--
Friday = 2:00 P.M. Eastern, 1:00 P.M. Central, and 11:00 A.M. Pacific, Lasting About an Hour.
Saturday = 2:00 P.M. Eastern, 1:00 P.M. Central, and 11:00 A.M. Pacific, Lasting About an Hour.

Hey, this is Twila, and yes, it turns out that, while the new entries average around 3900-4000 visits already, the long-standing ancient Roblox Headquarters is very near 100K, as of 2/27/08 it has 97,010 visits. Maybe it's time to announce an "update the HQ" contest? A recent survey of some Robloxians shows that the majority wants to see the new worker's figures in the building. This would include ReeseMcBlox, DocStrange, Noob007, Wookong, and the like. Just around 2000 more visits to go 'til 100K!

Mascots (1st Contest)
I will be seeting up a new poll to choose our site Mascots!
For ideas that should be featured in this poll need to be,

We got our first Writer
