Step Away From The Video Games

telling you to get off the computer, or you might get addicted.
I have a sad, sad TRUE, video game addiction story:

A ordinary teenage kid was so addicted to video games, he stood up all night and even skipped school just to play.
When his parents finally decided to take the games away, he got so angry that he destroyed their coffee table, smashed a expensive vase, and literally ripped the security system out of the wall before his parents gave him back his games.

It's sad.
So make sure not to spend all your time on a video game, or you might end up as that guy.

Even More Place Advice
Foamythesqurriel here,
I figured out how to run scripts locally without having to save, leave, and come back!

Just click Tools - Test - Solo.
You will come to your place named, "Player". There you can test what you built and/or scripted!
It's alot faster than saving and coming back. It's helping me alot!

More Place Advice

When a error has occurred in ROBLOX, you could lose all your work you didn't save! My advice is to save your place frequently.

This has happened to me, and it can happen to anyone, including you. Sometimes your place's data can become corrupt, so you can't visit or edit your place. You have to reset ALL your hard work for it! My advice is keep a recently updated save file of your place on your computer and USB key (if you have one). So if this happens, you don't have to start over.

Hello, this is Arrowbic,
If you are interested in posting in the forums, as a top poster, I have some tips for you. A major thing that will give you a bad reputation is spamming. If you don't know what spam is, it is when you constantly post random gibberish. Another major thing that is not good is using inappropriate language, but this isn't allowed any where, so it shouldn't be a problem. When posting in the forums, it is also good advice not to talk like this "Hi ne1 gut a fedora". It is hard for some people to understand you, and many people look for proper grammar.

Wanna be a writer on this site?

Be as active as possible. Post a lot, and interact with the people on the site. After a while, Vince will probably take notice and ask you to become a worker. With a little more effort maybe a writer. Yet to come, moderators. MarvelManiac was the first. :) I hope to follow suit soon. It's a great website and it's a great experience to be a writer for it.

Promote from Worker to Writer to Moderator. Don't think there's anything higher.

Learning To Script

Head to the wiki. It's a great place. The Wiki. Here you can learn about many things. 80% of the time, if you go on the Roblox Forums Scripting Help and ask simple questions that show that you're new at scripting you will be flamed like, "OMG N00B!!! I'M SO 1337 AND YOU'RE NOT!!!" My advice is to go on the wiki and try to learn from the scripts there. Waffleboy has an amazing guide to scripting. Waffleboy's nice Tutorial. Try it. Also, go into all models and just examine scripts asking occasional questions on the forums about what certain things mean. Also, you could ask some scripters like me! :) Good luck.

Hopefully you will become a better scripter by using the wiki.

Dealing with Noobs Advice
Hello, this is Kiddietron,
If you see random noobs doing irritating stuff. Follow these steps.
1. Tell him/her to stop or try to help them. If you receive negative replies, go to Step 3
2. If he/she responds with a question further help him/her. If he/she understands and reacts positively go to Step 4
3. Warn him/her and tell him/her that you're just helping out. More negative? go to Step 5
4. Tell him/her that you're around to help and a smiley. :) If they thank you say Your welcome and you're done!
5. Report the person for mean behavior and start ignoring them. Continue to report them if further malicious actions occur.

Hopefully this will help you deal with noobs.

The Random Letters Caution Advice
Okay guys, this is the advice for today, DO NOT PUT RANDOM LETTERS IN CHAT BECAUSE YOU WILL GET REPORTED AND COULD GET BANNED OR GET A WARNING!

Simple Solution: Think Before You Act + It's Noobish to do that anyways!

Roblox Crash Advice
Okay, Let's Say you've been working on your place for 4 hours right, Then all the sudden, You get a Roblox Crash, and all your work goes down the drain!
Well, don't beat yourself up about this, all your doing is hurting yuorself, some people even break their computer because they're so mad, THIS IS NOT THE ANSWER SO DON'T DO IT!

Okay, here's another example if all of that you just read didn't go through your head. Lets say you were at an Obsticle Course and your were 1 checkpoint away from Finish and you know if you exited you could never get to that checkpoint again because it was soooo hard, then all the sudden, *BAM* you get the message "An Error Has Occured" or "You have been Disconnected", well these are not the words to clue you in to beat yourself or the computer up!

Script Builder Advice

Okay, we should all be familiar with "Script Builder" by Anaminus.
Well, Don't get pissed off if someone accidentally deletes the server or even if they do it purposly.
The worst thing you cand o is get pissed of at someone at then you accidentally say a bad word or you call them a noob, it's just hurting yourself!
If you start saying bad words everyone will report you and you will get banned.
If you call them a noob, they probally call you a noob back and then won't stop deleting the server, which ruins everything about Script Builder for everyone else.
So, my advice, KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOURSELF!

You could get scammed. Not Everyone is nice, some people just like scamming other people.

Get Familiar with all your tools in Roblox Studio.
Especially Get Familiar with
Drag, Anchor, Resize, and Move on Axis
These Tools will Mostly be used when creating basic Models.
